On a bright and crisp October morning they took the first ferry out of Oslo harbour to island hop around the fjord. With the islands all to themselves, together they wandered through the forests, strolled along the beaches, searched the old monastery ruins, skimmed stones along the water and explored the rock pools filled with seashells, seaweed and starfish.
The quiet serenity of the fjord and its many islands stayed with them long after they returned, and forever remained a daydream escape whenever they sought that unforgettable feeling of peace, joy and contentment.
